To Our Parents
I see you.
I see the parent who hasn't had a full night's sleep in months. The parent trying to balance work, family, appointments, school pickups, and everything else that comes with raising children. I see the new mom wondering if it's okay to ask for help. The single parent carrying the weight of an entire household. The parent who loves their children deeply but desperately needs a moment to themselves.
For a long time, I thought asking for help meant I wasn't doing enough. What I eventually learned is that the strongest parents are not the ones who do everything alone. They're the ones who build a village around them.
Taking an hour for yourself is not selfish. Going on a date night is not selfish. Taking a nap, attending a fitness class, meeting a friend for coffee, focusing on your career, or simply sitting in silence for a moment is not selfish.
You deserve support, too.
At Yika, we want to make finding trusted childcare feel less stressful and more human. We want you to feel confident knowing your children are in caring, capable hands so that you can take care of yourself, your family, and the many other responsibilities that make up your life.
Parenthood was never meant to be done alone.
Whether you need a caregiver for a few hours, a regular helping hand, or support during a particularly challenging season, we're here to help you find the village every family deserves.
Families can choose whether they're open to caregivers who are parents themselves and may bring their child when appropriate. When welcomed, this can offer added socialization and a playmate for your child — while supporting single parents who are working as caregivers.
Optional in the app — never required.
